In an effort to create the "best/worst recruiting video of all time", Twitter employees Ian Padgham and Jeremy Briggs made "At Twitter, The Future Is You," a spoof on the corny corporate recruitment video of yore, reports Mashable. In it, they poke fun at such classic corporate tropes as employees being really enthusiastic about coffee, employees sitting up very straight at their desks and employees pointing at flying words like "product management!"

Censorship of Twitter occurs in accordance with the laws of the countries in which people use the service.
Here is the list of countries that banned or try to ban Twitter:
China
Twitter is banned in China; however, many Chinese people use it anyway.

Egypt

Twitter was inaccessible in Egypt on 25 January 2011 during the 2011 Egyptian protests.

Iran

In 2009, during 2009 Iranian presidential election, Iranian government blocked Twitter because of fear from organizing protests.

Some features about Futubra

Futubra allows users to post 6 types of messages :

• "Text": limited to 200 characters
• "Photo": it is possible to upload a file with the extension of bmp, png, jpeg or gif no more than 10MB from your computer or on the link from the Internet. After downloading, the image is scaled to the width of the tape. You can comment on the photo (the size of the comments - up to 200 characters).
• "Video": you can boot on the link to the site Youtube, Vimeo, Rutube, Video @ Mail.Ru, as well as the site Vesti.ru [29] , with commentary by (up to 200 characters).
• "Quote": This format offers to fill in two fields - actually for the text (up to 200 characters) and the author's name (up to 100 characters).
• "Event": there are three windows at the event - description (200 characters), date (up to 20 characters) and place of the meeting (up to 50 characters).
• "Boring": displays a sad "smile".

Russia likes to steal someone's ideas

Good morning dear bloggers and readers. Today we're going to talk about Russian Prototype of Twitter.
It's name is Futubra, and here is the link -> click here
Futurba is a Russian microblogging service, launched as a beta version in January 16 2012. To start using the service you must register a username, email address and password.
In the work on the creation of the site 20 people were involved fom the team Mail.ru
There are applications for devices based on Apple iOS (at least version 4.0.), Windows Phone (at least version 7.5 «Mango») and Symbian.
During the first day of the microblogging service Futubra attracted more than 17 thousand users.

Who has the biggest number of followers???

Really, can you just imagine who is on the top of the list in Twitter? No? Yeah, me too =) .
So, Lady Galya (@ladygaga) has the biggest number of followers, and her record is 22,610,932 followers.






The second place is on Justin "I'mgay" Bieber with the 19,926,110 followers.







Third is Katie Perry with 17,593,766 followers

Trends in Twitter

Hello bloggers! Today we'll talk more about such phenomenon as "trend" in Twitter.

So, "Trend" is a word, phrase or topic that is tagged at a greater rate than other tags is said to be a trending topic.

Trending topics become popular either through a concerted effort by users or because of an event that prompts people to talk about one specific topic.

These topics help Twitter and their users to understand what is happening in the world.

Trending topics are sometimes the result of concerted efforts by fans of certain celebrities or cultural phenomena.

You may notice that some topics come with a pound sign – # – before the word or phrase. This is called a hashtag and is included specifically in Tweets to mark them as relating to a topic so that people can follow the conversation in search.

Six years after the first Twitter tweet

Hard to believe but on March 21, 2012 Twitter celebrated the sixth anniversary of its first tweet ,on twttr at the time, by co-founder Jack Dorsey. 

What I also find fascinating about Twitter, and internet technology in general is just how quickly new technologies change the way we communicate, find interesting and relevant information, and market our businesses.
